Dhuha Al-juboori

Director of Centre

Dhuha is a graduate from the University of Saskatchewan and she earned her Bachelor of Education Degree with a major in Science. She has previously taught several grade levels ranging from PreK-8. Dhuha is familiar with working with children and enjoys involving kids in their own learning. She had always had a passion to work as a teacher ever since she was little as she was inspired by her former teachers. She believes that children are little curious minds and it is the duty of the people around them to fill their little brains with the wonders of life.  Dhuha is excited to join the Saskatoon Early Years Family Resource Centre because she believes that her previous experience will help nourish the centre. She is also thrilled to interact with kids and making connections with their caregivers!

Oluwole Falode

Assistant Coordinator

Oluwole Falode is a globally recognized expert in childhood education, boasting over 14 years of experience in supervising and training early childhood educator candidates. With a deep understanding of children's developmental and learning processes, he holds certifications in early childhood education. His contributions extend to academia, having authored over fifty peer-reviewed articles focusing on children's growth, bonding, and learning. As an instructional designer, he utilizes developmental theories and instructional design models to create tailored programming for children. Oluwole's dedication to his field has led him to work across three continents, culminating in his recent appointment as Assistant Coordinator at the Saskatoon Early Years Family Resource Centre. He is a distinguished scholar, holding bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in education. He is excited to be part of our centre and cannot wait to interact with the staff and families.

Heejeong Kim

Program Facilitator

Heejeong comes from a background in Early Childhood Education at Chongshin University in South Korea and holds an ECE LEVEL 3 certification. In her perspective, the most crucial aspect of early childhood education is providing a secure environment where children can explore the world around them. She firmly believes that children develop through interacting with the world. She particularly enjoys creating things with her hands and crafting jewelry as a hobby. She is thrilled to be working at the Saskatoon Early Years Family Resource Centre. It brings her joy in knowing that she can make a positive impact not only on children but also on the adults who are part of their journey. Welcome Heejeong!

Areej Manzoor

Program Facilitator

Welcome our new staff member, Areej! She is currently pursuing Master in Education from University of Saskatchewan and had previously done Bachelors with major in Science Education. She is optimistic and determined to get her ECE certification soon. Areej embarked her career as EA, promoted to the role of teacher and program leader. She has several years' experience in Child care and so thrilled to be a part of YMCA as a program facilitator, as she is committed to bring wealth of her experience and passion, and make sure everyone has enjoyable experience. Her motive is to support each family member in their individual growth and contribute to collective success by being a source of their growth. She believes in the power of teamwork, creativity and communication to achieve goals and make time both fun and educational. “Let's be in this journey together and make the most of our time together as a family!”

Madu Pathirage

Part Time Program Facilitator

Madu has joined the team as a part time facilitator. She has a degree in Bachelor of Arts and Science in Health Studies and a Minor in Sociology at the University of Saskatchewan. She is currently working towards pursuing a career in Social Work. Her previous work and volunteer experiences allowed her to work with people of various ages, from children to older adults. She is currently working at a senior home and she has been working there for over three years. She is so excited to join the Saskatoon Early Years Family Resource Centre because she has always been fascinated with how children develop and learn. She can’t wait to bring in her ideas as well as learn from this opportunity. She looks forward to engaging with families and young children from diverse backgrounds!

Munazza Jahan

Part Time Program Facilitator

Munazza started at our centre as a volunteer and was recently hired as a part-time program facilitator. She is currently in her first year pursuing a Bachelor’s of Arts and Science program in Health Studies. Munazza enjoyed her part as a volunteer as each day her day was filled with new experiences/adventures and knowing that she was part of a great service to the community, brought her instant gratification. She believes the Saskatoon Family Centre is an exceptional service centre to families and children by as it promotes play, delivering program and offering resources to enhance their lives. She looks forward to fulfilling her role, learning from several opportunities and seeing those smiling faces on children faces!

Ruth Grace Nicolas

Part Time Program Facilitator

Grace has joined the team as one of the program facilitators at the Centre. She is currently completing her Early Childhood Education diploma at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Grace enjoys discovering children’s perspectives and learning both from children and their families. She believes in the importance of valuing children’s voices and in the role of the community in supporting children. She has experience working in various childcare settings, and has volunteer experience in her local church community. Her values and experiences has shaped her as a passionate individual that strives to work with children and families.
